In fact, it makes up only 5% of internet pageviews. The majority of the remaining 95% consists of web pages devoted to specific content, such as fashion sites, retail, news etc. In creating the Content Network, Google now offers advertisers ways to a) reach more users and b) reach them at different points of their online experience, outside of search. * While search results pages are an important part of finding information on the Web, they make up a very small fraction of the pages on the Internet (around 5%). And they are an even smaller portion of where Web users spend their time actually considering and purchasing things. Purchase decisions are made all over the Web— on search sites, shopping comparison sites, professional interest pages, targeted newsletters, and other properties. Distributing ads on the Google Network provides a cost-effective way to reach customers wherever they are on the remaining 95% of the Web. * *The content network reaches 69.7% of internet users globally (This only counts people who visited a page where content ads were actually shown) And we know that users actually spend 45% of their time on content.
